This project involved the complete redevelopment of an Islamic Center in Cali, Colombia, where the existing building required a full reconstruction from the ground up. The work began with a collaborative conceptual design phase led by myself, Andrew, and other team members, aiming to create a renewed architectural identity and functional community space. The project progressed beyond early concept stages into full technical development, reaching IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings, and is currently under construction. In addition to the architectural scope, the project also required high-quality visual and marketing materials to support fundraising efforts, including cinematic walkthrough presentations in both English and Spanish. The workflow utilized Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, and DaVinci Resolve.
I participated in the initial conceptual design phase and then took a leading role in developing the project through to the complete IFC construction documentation. I was responsible for translating the concept into a buildable architectural package and ensuring the design was ready for execution on site. To support the fundraising campaign, I also produced a full marketing walkthrough video, edited in DaVinci Resolve, featuring professional voice-over narration by Rama in English and Maria in Spanish, helping communicate the vision of the project to an international audience.
