Abd El Hamid Villa is a residential renovation project located in Katameya Dunes, Cairo, Egypt. The project focused on a comprehensive architectural transformation of the existing villa, including a full exterior overhaul, interior modifications, and the redesign of the backyard landscape areas. The original building featured a classical Roman-style architectural language, and the design approach aimed to modernize the villa while preserving the structural integrity of the existing building.
The development process included architectural modifications, updated interior spaces, and photorealistic visualization to communicate the proposed transformation. The project workflow utilized SketchUp, 3ds Max, Corona Renderer, Vantage, and Revit.
I worked on the architectural redevelopment of the villa, focusing on modifying the building’s external walls and architectural elements to transition the design from a classical Roman style to a more contemporary architectural expression, while ensuring minimal structural intervention.
In addition to the architectural modifications, I developed the interior design updates and the backyard exterior design, producing the required 3D models and visualizations. Throughout the project, I also collaborated with my colleague Mirna Halim, exchanging design insights and coordinating on aspects of the architectural transformation.
